It's been an interesting and entertaining few weeks since my last posts.
BT ARE A BUNCH OF BASTARDS and I mean that most sincerely folks.
I made an arrangement with them that I would pay our phone bill in full on Friday 1st February. It left me a little short cash wise and it also meant that our car insurance bounced as there wasn't enough in our 'safe' account but I paid it nonetheless.
Not much - only £100.83 but a severe dent in the budget and it was their fault because they had not told me that they were taking us off monthly billing and putting us on to quarterly so I assumed that the money was coming out of our bank account.
Not so ... they cut off our phone without notice, hence I ran up a huge bill on the mobile trying to reach them and being on hold for 40 minutes... not impressed.
So I paid the bill ... but the phone was still cut off ... why?
Because they still wanted £3.16 for our FINAL BILL. Because the money didn't clear in their account until the 4th they thought I had not paid so cut us off anyway.
Ho hum ... then they wanted £120 for a deposit towards putting our phone back on again ....
I GOT THE SERIOUS HUMP!!
We've now signed up with Virgin Media, internet and phone package only costing £15.00 per month. So off went BT and aol and in comes new email addresses.
We've been with aol for 10 years so it seems kind of weird but we looked into the pricing and found that we could do better elsewhere.
Other than that - life is pretty groovy at the moment, back online and getting back in touch with my friends!
