oooh it's all exciting!

We went to see CATS at the Birmingham Hippodrome yesterday -and it was fantastic!

I'm so glad that my daughter got to see it, she's been going on about it for years ever since we read her T.S.Elliots Old Possums Book of Practical Cats. We bought her the video of the London cast about 6 years ago and it's almost knackered through watching it so often.

And GrowlTiger was in it!!! So chuffed, being as it was the matinee performance, the understudies were playing the lead roles - and they were excellent! Wouldn't have know that they were the understudies if we hadn't been told at the start of the performance.

WOW!! We had a lovely day out - would love to see it again but it's only got another week at the Hippodrome.

But I am going to have a moan - the tickets cost £18.50 each and hubby had to take out a second mortgage to pay for drinks and ice cream at the interval. Nearly 8 quid for 2 ice creams and two bottles of water!! How do they justify that?

Still - a good day was had by all.

They don't justify it..they just DO it...Arrgghh!

Glad your daughter got to see the live show though :)

Pah, it's the old trick, when you;re the only one selling something somewhere you can charge what you like.

£18.50 a head? Bloody bargain.

When I went to see it with family it cost us over a ton. Mind you we were chauffeur driven from home to the theatre and it was well worth it.
